New MH Development Proposed | Daily Business News

GooseCreekPatch reports from Berkeley County, South Carolina just north of Charleston, the Berkeley County Commission will hear a request to rezone property from Planned Development Mixed Use to R-2, Manufactured Residential District. The property is in Summerville, SC. As MHProNews knows, South Carolina has one of the highest percentages of people living in manufactured housing in the nation.

Microsoft launches new Outlook.com email app with old design

Outlook.com

Microsoft has just released a new version of its email app to coincide with its overall email rebranding to Outlook.com from Hotmail.com today. While the app brings a lot of features that Outlook users will like -- ActiveSync, Contacts and Calendar sync, multiple account support -- it is wrapped up in a very bland and outdated design that reminds us all of Android 2.3. We had high hopes that Microsoft would bring something more striking. Maybe wrapped up in a "holo" UI, or at very least something of the metro "modern UI" style that has won many people over on Windows Phone.

Nevertheless, if you're an Outlook user, you'll probably be getting one of the better experiences out there using this official app right from Microsoft. You can take a look via the Google Play Store link above.

SYV Plumber
updated: Nov 26, 2012, 8:43 AM

I am looking for a good plumber located in the SYV (not SB, Lompoc, or SM areas) and I would greatly appreciate any referrals Edhat readers are able to provide.

Me too. There don't seem to be any qualified plumbing contracting companies in SYV beyond the single guy working out of his truck.

I had a good experience with Moe's for plumbing a gas line to my range.

I used Ron's. Pricing per job, not by the hour. This can be advantageous or not. Very professional. Very pleased with work.

DPM Plumbing - Daniel McCullom. Honest and local to SYV. I've used him on home improvement projects, gas lines, inside plumbing, etc.

Another vote for Daniel - he came and fixed our hot water tank on Christmas eve and charged a minimal amount. He has also helped us with gas lines.

I can tell you who not to use.... Pierce Plumbing, owned by Don Pierce. They scratched the tile (very badly) in all 3 of our bathrooms when they installed new toilets. Very unprofessional. I would never use them! Beware!

Moe's plumbing is still very good for new construction and general repairs. Clogged drains and septic problem issues go to Phil's Plumbing, a good honest guy

Used Ron's a while ago, he knows what he's doing, but way too expensive. Totally ripped me off. Try Jacob's Plumbing, he comes from Santa Maria but works all over the valley. Good, fast, reasonable. 805-878-0595. He did a lot of work at my rental house, totally honest and great!!
